UNIVERSITY SPORTS CARNIVAL 2009

USC 2009
On 17th to 23rd December 2009, IIUM has conducted USC.. For this USC, Safiyyah has sent our team to compete in this competition.

The games are as follows..
1) Volleyball
2) Netball
3) Handball
4) Basketball
5) Hockey
6) Table tennis
7) Track and field

Alhamdulillah, Safiyyah won 2 GOLD, 1 SILVER, 1 BRONZE in the games competed. This year achievement is better than last year because this year we have be the no 2 in the list.

McLEAD 2009

This year, we went to Glory Beach Resort, Port dickson to have our McLead. What is McLead?
McLead means management course for leaders. Among the objectives are:

• to provide participants with intensive training on leadership skills
• to provide the participants with managerial skills for organizing programmes
• to prepare the MRC physically and mentally to the challenges in performancing their duties

This 3 days programme started on 7th August and ended on 9th August 2009. Here, we show the tentative of the programme:

DAY 1 (7th August 2009-Friday)

2.30 pm - Departure from IIUM Gombak

5.00 pm - Registration & Check-in. 'Asr Prayer

7.00 pm - Dinner, Jama' Prayers (Maghrib & Isya)

8.15 pm - Ice breaking

9.20 pm - Talk 1 : Qualities of Good Leaders, by Madam Shahrizad Sai-dul Haj, Student Development Division

11.15 pm - Lights off

DAY 2 (8th August 2009-Saturday)

6.00 a.m - Subuh congregational prayers

7.00 a.m - riadah / morning exercise

8.00 a.m - breakfast

9.00 a.m - Talk 2 : Mindsetting of Student Leaders, by Dr Aldila Isahak, Alumni Career Services Division

TAARUF NEW INTAKE STUDENTS

On 27th July 2009, taaruf session for new intake students has been organized by MRC Safiyyah. This programme was attended by the principal of Mahallah Safiyyah, Asst.Prof.Dr Akhtar Zaite Abdul Aziz as well as the fellows of the mahallah. An introduction to mahallah was given by the principal together with the taaruf session of the fellows. A session with Counselling Services Department was also conducted by Madam Wan Kalsom Wan Adam. This programme was successfully conducted.

MRC NEW LINE-UP 2009/2010

On 27th July 2009, the new line-up of Mahallah Representative Committee( MRC) has been appointed. This session(Baiah Session) was conducted together with Taaruf Session for New Intake Students. The new list of MRC Safiyyah 2009/2010:
